The FLF program has really taken off in Latin America in 2019 with the high standard FLF Seminar in July gathered 52 young leaders from 12 countries in Mexico during the Panamerican Games. The FLF Seminar was an initiative led by local young leaders of the Maccabi Community and demonstrates the power of grassroots projects such as this one. The seminar offered sessions and workshops on topics such as Zionism, leadership, community, and more. The participants visited the Opening Ceremony of the Games and went to a educational Jewish city tour in the downtown. Rabbi Carlos Tapiero, the President of the Educational Department of Maccabi World Union also participated in the seminar.

As a result of the connections and excitement created at the FLF Seminar in Mexico, the 1st Maccabi Fun Run was organized and drew to it a record number of participants of 1200.
